Passiamo dalla Riserva di Scandola dal Golfo di Girolata e da Capo Rosso, grotte e piscine mozzafiato. Tratto di costa bellissimo da visitare in kayak da mare. Pesca sempre ottima, oggi 3kg di pesce, buonanotte e buon appetito!"

Galeria - STOP per mare in burrasca
"Il vento e il mare di ieri pomeriggio non ci lasciava molte speranze. Stamattina il mare in burrasca con vento forza 8 da Nord Ovest creava onde alte oltre 3 metri.

Raffiche di vento oltre 50 nodi!! Numerose barche a vela in difficoltà dentro il golfo.

Riposo forzato che ci dà comunque la possibilità di sistemare meglio i kayak ed il carico. Ne approfittiamo per fare un pò di cambusa. Per domani il meteo lascia solo qualche speranza per il pomeriggio."

Galeria - STOP stormy sea

"The wind and the sea yesterday afternoon did not leave us much hope. This morning the stormy sea with wind force 8 from the North West was creating waves over 3 meters. Wind gusts over 50 knots! Several sailboats in difficulty within the Gulf. Forced Rest that gives us the possibility to better accommodate the load and the kayaks. We take the opportunity to do a little galley. For tomorrow the weather leaves only hope for the afternoon."

"Partenza di buon ora da Iles Rousse, di mattina mare calmo, alle 12 monta un forte vento da SW, raffiche fino a 40 nodi e mare forza 5. Entriamo nel Golfo di Galeria e ripariamo nel porto insieme ad alcuni velisti in fuga dalla burrasca in arrivo.

Esemplare la tenuta del Baidarka, progetto di Derek Hutchinson, un genio del kayak da mare. Il cucchiaio (pagaia) é stato fondamentale grazie alla sua buona propulsione in acqua. Saro Carpenter un grande soprattutto perchè avanzava nonostante la greenland, ottima per il barbecue di stasera... Occhiate enormi ci aspettano per cena."

"Start very early from Iles Rousse, calm sea in the morning, at 12 to mount a strong wind from the SW, gusting to 40 knots and sea state 5. We enter the Gulf of Galeria and repair in the port together with some sailors fleeing the storm coming.
Baidarka exemplary seal, a project of Derek Hutchinson, a genius of the sea kayak. The spoon (paddle) was important because of its good propulsion in water. Saro Carpenter had a great navigation even if with the greenland paddle, great for the barbecue tonight... A lot of fish for dinner await us."

"Mare lungo con assenza di vento. Brevi soste in spiagge candide tra cui la bellissima Plage di Saleccia nel Desert des Agriates.

Approfittiamo delle buone condizioni del mare per pagaiare qualche miglio in più.

Domani ci attende un forte Scirocco (30 nodi), quindi probabile pagaiata con mare contro.

Cambusa poco usata grazie a quanto ci offre il mare (Spaghetti con ricci e pesce abbondante).

Domani sveglia presto per avanzare più possibile prima dell'arrivo del vento."

"Swells with no wind. Stopover in the beautiful white beaches such as the Desert of Saleccia Plage Agriates.

We take advantage of good sea conditions to paddle a few miles more.
Tomorrow we expect a strong Scirocco (30 knots), therefore we probably will paddle against wind, in rough seas.
Storeroom little used because of what gives us the sea (Spaghetti with sea urchins and abundant fish)."

Circumnavigazione della Corsica in Kayak
Salvatore Bartoli e Saro Carpenter affronteranno un altra avventura nel Mar Mediterraneo. Saro, dopo aver già pagaiato attorno all'isola nel 2004, ha deciso di ripetersi e ritornare in questi incredibili posti.Sia Saro che Salvo hanno maturato in tanti anni di kayak numerose esperienze di viaggio sia in solitaria che in team: Baleari, Creta, Peloponneso, Croazia, Sardegna, Sicilia, Baja California, sono solo alcune tra le destinazioni in cui hanno pagaiato.
Kayakextreme's Travel Blog seguirà Salvo e Saro in questa esperienza.
L'obiettivo del viaggio sarà quello di navigare con i kayak lungo la costa dell'isola, facendo campeggio nautico, in assenza di appoggio a terra e quindi in totale autosufficenza. I kayak, perfettamente equipaggiati, sono anche dotati di pannelli solari per avere autonomia per l'alimentazione di GPS, VHF, telefono.

Kayak circumnavigation of Corsica
Salvatore Bartoli and Saro Carpenter will face another adventure in the Mediterranean Sea. Saro, having already paddled around the island in 2004, decided to repeat and go back to these amazing places.
Saro an Salvo have matured over many years travel experience, by kayak, solo and in teams: the Balearic Islands, Crete, Peloponnese, Croatia, Sardinia, Sicily, Baja California, are just some of the destinations in which they paddled.
Kayakextreme's Travel Blogs will follow them during this experience.
The aim of the trip will be to navigate in kayaks along the coast, making nautical camping in the absence of support on the ground and then in total autonomy. The kayaks, fully equipped, are also equipped with solar panels for autonomy for the power of GPS, VHF, telephone.

Saro ha dato il suo ok si prenderà il largo da Bastia in senso antiorario, via verso cape Corse uno dei più temuti del mediterraneo con il golfo del leone che ci alita addosso per circa 300 km sarà come avere le fauci sul collo.
