Mauro Giaconia è stato selezionato dalla MANHATTAN ISLAND FOUNDATION per partecipare, insieme ad altri 24 atleti provenienti da tutte le parti del mondo, alla MANHATTAN ISLAND MARATHON SWIM, il più prestigioso evento internazionale di nuoto che si terrà il prossimo 5 Luglio a New York.
Il percorso, è tra i più emozionanti e suggestivi che si possano immaginare..consiste nella circumnavigazione dell'isola diManhattan, per un totale di 46 chilometri in un tempo massimo di 9h30', partendo da Battery Park, e nuotando tra l'Oceano e i fiumi di New York, passando affianco ai grattacieli e sotto i ponti più importanti della città.

Mauro Giaconia was selected by MANHATTAN ISLAND FOUNDATION to participate, with 24 other athletes from all over the world, at the MANHATTAN ISLAND MARATHON SWIM, the most prestigious international swimming event that will be held on 5th of July in New York. The route is among the most exciting and evocative that we can imagine .. it is the circumnavigatione of the island of Manhattan, for a total of 46 km in not more than 9:30 hours, starting from Battery Park, and swimming between Ocean and rivers in New York, passing beside the high-rise buildings and under the most important bridges of the city.
